Rules & Regulations of the Hummingbird

  • Govt. taxes & other levies which are mandatory shall be extra applicable.
  • Outside food is not allowed in Resorts premises. 
  • Food items could be chosen from readily available and/or fixed menu only.
  • Since the food that we prepare is freshly cooked and then served, so on an average we might need 30-45 minutes to serve you the best quality food as per your order
  • No verbal arguments or agreements shall be accepted.
  • It is mandatory for all guests to produce a valid ID proof of all the members who would have checked in at the time of arrival irrespective of their age. As per the Government of India rules, it is mandatory to present either of the following as a photo ID proof: Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Driving License or passport. Check in can be denied if the same is found to be unavailable.
  • Prices, menu items, BOGO offers, coupons, levies and terms & conditions are subject to change without prior notice.
  • Alcoholic drinks are not allowed in restaurant.
  • Liquor license is required for alcoholic parties.
  • Any type of Food or Drinks are not allowed in gaming zone & pool area. No glass cups or bottles can be carried in or around swimming pool & game zone area.
  • For using Swimming pool wearing an appropriate swimming costume is compulsory.  Cleaning charges of 50000 .Rs or more will be levied otherwise.
  • Vomiting is to be done in toilet and not basin(sink). Cleaning charges will be levied for all cleaning.  Amount to be decided at sole and absolute discretion of Resorts management.
  • Garbage or left over food to be thrown in garbage can (bin). Please do not flush it in wash basins(sinks) or toilets. Cleaning/ Fixing/ Repairing charges will be levied at sole and absolute discretion of management.
  • In case if you want to give any tip, then please put the amount in the tip box placed at the reception, so that at month end it can be equally distributed among the staff.
  • Flower or kalam plucking or cutting, damaging garden plants is not allowed in the Resorts premises.
  • Anything that you break or damage you pay for it.  Amount charged shall be at sole discretion of resorts management.
  • Any extra amount for which the bill would have been raised during your stay, that needs to be completely paid before Check Out.
  • Right to early check in or late check out would solely lie with the resorts management only and needs to be confirmed with the front office staff.
  • It shall solely be the guest’s responsibility to take care of their money, jewels or any other valuables. Management is not responsible in that regard.
  • In case if the guest fails to pay the full amount, the management shall have the right to vacate the room, detain / lien the guest’s luggage / belongings to sell for the recovery of the pending amount.
  • Check-in/Check-Out timing
  • Check in time : 01:00 P.M.
  • Check out time : 10:00 A.M.

Unless specifically specified in standard reservation confirmation voucher issued by the Resorts.

    • 50% of the standard Hummingbird Tariff rates shall be levied wherein your early arrival shall be before 02:00 P.M and/or late departure would be post 10:00 A.M. 100% of the standard Hummingbird Tariff rates shall be levied for early arrivals done before 11:00 A.M. and late departures done post 03:00 P.M. In such a case management reserves the right to change the room as well if needed.
    • By sharing the basic data with us, the guest entitles us to update and retain their information in our individual business guest database. We will collect, use, store and transfer your personal information as per our privacy policy. So by signing our GRC the guest expressly agrees that from time to time we can send them information regarding the particular Resorts, resort and / or Program Affiliated Partners and its new joined affiliate, program benefits, promotional content and renewal of the membership via phone, email, WhatsApp / text messaging or letter. However, the member has full rights to select his/her mode of communication or alter the same from time to time. In case if the member chooses not to receive any information from us, then he/she may request for updating their information in full or partial deletion of the same by writing to us at  reservations@hummingbirdresorts.com
    • Do not sit on the ledge of balcony.
    • If any guest is found to be undisciplined and/or fraudulent and/or abusive, then in the interest of the safety & reputation of their business, the Resorts  reserves the right to take appropriate administrative action against the person. The actions may be something like refusing /removing admissions, black listing the person, termination of membership etc. Your co-operation in this regard is much appreciated.
    • In the event of any dispute or misunderstanding arising out of interpretation of any of the offers, the property management’s decision shall be considered as final and binding to the guest.
    • In case of disputes or differences between the parties, the same shall be decided by arbitration. The arbitrator shall be the General Manager of the particular affiliated individual business, and/or any other person nominated by the resorts.
    • The arbitration shall be as per the Indian Arbitration Act. The venue of the said arbitration shall be Mt. Abu, Sirohi, Rajasthan
    • In case of any cause of legal action, the case must be filed in Mt. Abu, Sirohi, Rajasthan Jurisdiction only.
  • As per local laws alcohol, gambling, use of hookah, drugs, hazardous and combustible material, Firearms & Weapons etc is strictly prohibited in the property premises.
  • Buffet is subject to occupancy.
  • All activities are at guest’s own risk.
  • Proper dressing is mandatory.
  • Due to cigarettes if any kind of damage occurs to resorts property, then the concerned person would be charged as per management’s discretion.
  • Chewing & spitting of Gutka, Tobacco, Pan Masala, Smoking etc. is not allowed on premises. As per local laws, use of hookah, drugs, any illegal activities, carrying guns & weapons, fire arms etc. is strictly prohibited in the property. In case if anyone is found doing so, then the person would be charged with a minimum of 1000 Rs. or more for getting the premises cleaned and/or recovering the damage caused.
  • Management reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any undisciplined customer in the interest of public and business reputation.
  • Please don’t give any liquor to any of the staff members. By giving liquor you are not doing any good favour towards the staff, rather you are ruining their life by making them addicted.
  • Submitting passport and visa at the time of check in is mandatory for all the foreigners.
  • If the booking information does not match the guest’s profile or if the guest does not abide by the Resort’s terms and conditions, then in that case Resorts reserves the right to deny even confirmed reservation.
  • If any action or behaviour of the guest is deemed to be inappropriate or illegal, then in that case, the Resorts reserves the right to take action at sole and absolute discretion of management against the guest post proper investigation.
  • Management will not be responsible for any mishaps, accidents or injuries to guests during the entire event/stay at Resorts.
  • Participation in the activities is entirely a voluntary decision and it requires participants to abide by applicable rules and standards of conduct. Guest further understand that in case of any injury or damage caused due to participating in the activities, it will solely be the participants responsibility to bear the medical or any other expenses related with the same. Hummingbird or its staff members shall in no way be responsible for any such incident. Guest have carefully considered the risks involved with participating in the activities that are organized at Hummingbird Resorts and post that I hereby give consent on behalf of all of my family/group members and state that we would like to participate in the activities.  Guest needs to understand that the authorized signatory person in guest registration form during check-in shall be responsible for his/her family/group members for the same.
  • Rooms will not be allotted if full payment is not done while check-in.
  • Billing would be at the agreed rate for the number of Guests Guaranteed or Actual number of guests, whichever is higher.
  • All extras to be cleared at the Resorts before departure.
  • Resorts reserves the right to amend or cancel reservations if guest do not abide by Resort Terms and conditions.
  • Room photographs on the website are indicative of room category. There might be a marginal difference in the decor and the size of the rooms in the same category as well, however the facilities would remain the same room category wise.
  • No loud music or noise is permissible in the Resorts premises. So guests are requested to refrain from indulging into activities which might disturb other guests. 
  • Room Keys to be returned at reception during check out to avoid paying fine of 1000 Rs. per each key lost.
  • The value of the specific discount given to an individual does not include taxes.
  • As this is a forest area wild animals do come and go and there is no way to control or avoid entry of wild animals, so please avoid staying in open area at any given time of the stay.

Extra Occupancy :

  • Accommodation for children up to 5 years shall be provided on complimentary basis.
  • Extra child 6 to 11 years and adult above 12 years will be charged extra as per our tariff rate.
  • Maximum occupancy in a room is either 3 adults or 2 adults with 2 children (below 11 years) on extra charges.
  • We shall provide an extra mattress or a folding roll away bed for extra occupancy in the same room.

Check In – Check Out Terms :

  • All extras, taken over & above the package rate will be charged extra and added to the final bill accordingly.
  • In the event of direct payment, guests are required to pay full advance at the time of Check-in.
  • Photo ID is mandatory for all guests (adult and children) staying in the rooms.

Parking Policy :

Daily valet parking is available free of charge for all overnight and visiting guests. Parking is at the owners’ risk. Overnight parking is available only for in-house guests after stipulated security checks. The Resorts is not liable in the case of theft of or damage to any parked vehicle(s).

Babysitting/Child Care Policy :

The Resorts does provide babysitting services. The same needs to be informed to the reception 24 hours in advance. The charges for the same are INR 5000/hour for a minimum of two hours.

Facility Use Policy :

Use of recreational facilities, such as the pool, gym, and spa, is governed by minimum age requirements. As a general guideline, these services can only be used or requested by guests who are of 18 years of age and above. Guests who are younger than this age must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Resort is not liable to provide safety and security of any individual and it is considered that user is medically/physically fit and is trained before utilizing any Resort facility. Please contact the Resort directly for more information.

Outside food and Beverage Policy :

Resorts does not allow outside food and beverages to be brought in the Resort, unless approved separately through written permission. Outside food and beverage, consumption by resident guests is considered on their risk and Resort will not be liable for any damage / inconvenience.

Guests are advised to take a personal driver or request for a cab/taxi, and are strictly prohibited to drink and drive, as per Indian Law. Guests failing to abide or not announce at the time of drinks service will be held individually responsible for failing to cooperate and for misleading the Resort.

Visitor Policy :

Resorts does not allow outside visitors, who are not registered with the resorts as occupants inside the guest room corridor or guest rooms. Guests meetings and entertainments are permitted in public area or restaurants only. Photo ID proof and extra occupancy charges are mandatory for registering additional guests.

Nature’s disclaimer :

The Resort has vast open area. Due to its natural landscape the Resort residents / guests / employees may face concerns with flora and fauna from time to time. Guests are requested to be aware of such aspects and take necessary precautions. In case of emergency please contact Resort staff immediately.

As this is a forest area wild animals do come and go and there is no way to control or avoid entry of wild animals, so please avoid staying in open area at any given time of the stay. Management is not responsible for any mishaps, attack, injuries caused due to such incidents.

Guest Room Usage :

Storing of articles which are combustible or hazardous in nature in the guest room is strictly prohibited. Usage of banned products or consuming narcotic products / drugs is strictly prohibited. It is understood that guest’s room must  not be used for conducting any activity which is considered non-permissible under Indian Laws.

We do not allow Poker chips/cards (Gambling), Hookah, Firearms / Weapons & Flammable items inside the resort.

The guest agrees that he/she shall not engage in, or wilfully or negligently get engaged in any such illegal act whatsoever such as Gambling etc but not limited to activities covered under Indian Gaming act and other Acts and Rules in force.

Usage of Camera and Photography / videography equipment :

Resort does not allow professional cameras/ Drone(s) camera usage. Photography is prohibited unless written permission is granted. Photography, Commercial usage of photographs/videography within the Resort is prohibited and is subject to written copyright approvals by the authorized representative of the Resort.

Guest Conduct :

Resort reserves the right of admission and entry of persons entering the Resort’s facilities. In the unfortunate event that the client’s guests or their guest’s behaviour become unacceptable and causes embarrassment or discomfort to others (guests or Resort staff) management of the resort reserves the right to have the individual or individuals removed from the Resort premises.

SARS COVID – 19 Protocol :

Guests are required to maintain social distance, Utilize Hand sanitizer/wash hands from time to time and wear masks all the time in addition to following all protocols as advised by authorities/Government.

Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction :

In case if any dispute or differences of opinion arise between the client / guests in relation to or in connection with Resort, then they will undertake negotiation in good faith with a view to resolve the matter. The parties here too shall endeavour to settle all disputes and differences relating to and/ or arising amicably.

In the event that the parties failing to resolve any dispute amicably, the same shall be referred to arbitration in accordance with the arbitration and re-conciliation act 1996 with all modification and re-enactment thereto as is prevalent in India. Each party shall be entitled to nominate an arbitrator and two arbitrators so nominated shall jointly nominate the third presiding arbitrator. The arbitrators shall give a reasoned award. The proper law for the purpose of arbitration shall be Indian laws applicable at Mt. Abu, Sirohi, Rajasthan

If any dispute or difference shall at any time arise between the client/ guests relating to or arising out in relation to services and facilities offered by the Resort (whether during the stay/usage or upon or after its usage), and no amicable resolution or settlement is reached within a period of Thirty (30) days, then such disputes and/or differences shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mt. Abu, Sirohi, Rajasthan only. Subject to and governed by the laws of India.

Reservation Policy :

  • Please make advance reservation via telephone or book online to ensure room availability.
  • Advance in Cash or deposit /online Payment is mandatory to obtain the confirmed reservation. Please read the cancellation policy before obtaining the confirmed reservation.
  • Rates displayed online are not guaranteed until the confirmation voucher is generated. The rates are generally dynamic in nature. Once a rate is selected and transaction is executed by you, no other rate is applicable either higher or lower and enforce no refund is admissible.
  • The estimated cost for stay includes the confirmed room rate, the estimated taxes, and estimated fees.
  • The actual taxes, fees and cess prevalent at the time of stay shall be applicable, which may vary from the estimates and you are liable to pay any extra cost on account of such amendments in taxes, fees, cess etc.
  • Currency conversions are estimates and are provided as information only. The bill on check out for stay shall be charged in the resort’s local currency.
  • We reserve the right to modify or cancel the reservation if it appears, at sole discretion of the resort, that a guest is engaged in fraudulent, illegal or other inappropriate activity or the reservation is obtained fraudulently or with malafide intention or mistake or error.

All promotion/sale rates are restrictive fares and are non-refundable. Certain promotion/sale Rates do not permit any changes in the resort booking. Please check restrictions on the rate while booking. Under all promotion(s)/sale rates, limited inventory is available on select Room type(s) only on first come first served basis.

  • Reserves the right to withdraw and/or amend the promotion/sale without any prior notice.
  • All extra services & amenities not part of this offer will be available on additional charge only.

This offer cannot be combined with any other offer/promotion or benefit(s) available through any loyalty program run by Hummingbird Or any third party.

  • In case of non-availability of pre-booked room at the time of arrival, the resort will offer an alternate similar standard resort/ in a similar room type, at its discretion and without any further liability.
  • Rates may change without notice and may vary for special events except for confirmed reservation against the advance payment.
  • All rates are subject to prevailing local taxes as applicable on room tariff & services opted.

Children and Infants :

  • Child (up to 5 years) can stay free of charge with parents without extra bed.
  • Children between 5 years to 12 years of age will be charged extra.
  • Children above 12 years of age will be treated as young adults and the prevalent reservation charges will be applicable and levied.

Modification in reservation :

Any modification in the reservation is subject to availability at the time of making such a request.

Deposit/ Online Payment Policy:

  • The deposit / online payment to be paid in advance equivalent to total room nights booked for the entire stay to get the confirmed reservation.
  • We accept deposit only against the Bank deposit, UPI, Maestro, Visa and MasterCard. For any alternate mode of payment, please contact the Resort’s reservations.
  • Corporate reservations need to be secured by a company credit card or bank Deposit or UPI. For any alternate mode of payment, please contact Resort’s Reservation.
  • Group bookings of four or more rooms require cancellation notice to refund the deposit as specified in cancellation & early checkout policy.

Special Request :

  • Please note that the resort neither guarantees nor is liable to admit any request for amendment in plan or for any other special requests. All of these shall be admissible subject to availability on arrival.
  • The request for airport and railway station pick-up requires intimation to the reservation at the time of the room(s) booking and 7 days prior to check in date.

Confirmation Voucher :

  • Once the reservation is confirmed, a confirmation number and the voucher is generated which you can print for your convenience.
  • It is necessary to present the confirmation voucher to the resort on arrival. On failure to produce the confirmation voucher may result in the resort not honoring your reservation unless the resort is able to trace & match the excess in the reservation system.

Payment Security : 

It is important to know that whenever you provide the personal details or credit card information, it is secured. Your credit card number, name, address, and telephone number are protected by the latest security technology.

Family Plan Policy :

Children age 5 and under sleep free in existing room bedding. Rollaway bed, Extra mattress and cribs may incur extra charges even if requested for children age 5 or under. 

Smoking Policy :

All public areas within the Resort are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted only outside the premises.  Sale of tobacco and tobacco products to minors under the age of 18 is not permitted. Smoking in non-smoking room is not permitted.

As per the notification dated 30th May 2008 issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, smoking in public places including Hotel, Resort, restaurants, refreshments, banquet halls etc. is an offence and prohibited with effect from 2nd October, 2008 by law.

Smoking in Non-smoking area or in Non-smoking room will attract a penalty of 20,000 INR per occurrence per person.

Credit Card Policy :

Physical presence of the credit card holder is mandatory to utilize the credit card at any point of sale at the Resort. Resort does not accept cheque payments. By providing the credit card details at the time of reservation, you authorize the Resort to charge the card in case of no show or late cancellation.

Interconnecting Room :

Resort does not have interconnecting rooms; adjacent rooms are subject to availability and request should be placed at the time of reservation. Allocation of rooms adjacent to each other is subject to availability on the day of arrival.

Pet Policy :

  • Pets are allowed to stay with the owners only if you would have booked an entire 3 Bedroom cottage. 
  • An extra charge of INR 2500 + 18% tax will be applicable at the check-in per pet per night for sanitization.
  • We are happy to welcome your traveling pet companions.
  • Please inform the resort at the time of your reservation if any pet is travelling/ staying with you.
  • Pets are allowed as per the pet policy of the resort. 

Security Policy:

For security reasons, all rooms will be checked once every 24 hours for occupation and usage. Duplicate keys to the guest room will not be issued without the presence of the registered guest(s), and only after the presentation of valid photo identification.

Resort does strict CCTV camera monitoring and CCTV access is prohibited for guest viewing for any reasons.

Swimming Pool Safety Rules :

  • Please Take A Shower Before Entering The Pool
  • The Pool Is Exclusively For Members And Resort Guests
  • Pool Users Are Requested To Maintain Decorum At All Times
  • No Diving And Jumping Is Permitted In The Pool
  • No Running And Rough Playing Around The Pool Area
  • Smoking In Or Around The Pool Is Not Allowed
  • No Lifeguard On Duty. Guests Using The Pool Are Requested To Do So At Their Own Risk
  • No Eatables, Beverages, Or Glassware Are Allowed In And Around The Pool
  • People Who Appear To Be Afflicted With Cuts, Skin Disease, Communicable Diseases, Cold, Fever, Infection, Or Other Physical Ailments Are Prohibited From Entering The Water
  • Children Under The Age Of 14 Years Shall Not Use The Pool Without A Parent Or Adult Guardian In Attendance
  • Guests Swim At Their Own Risk, And The Resort Will Not Be Responsible For Any Injuries While Using The Resorts Facilities
  • Use Of Proper Swimming Costume Is Mandatory
